JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Development Manager will mine and secure new customer/client relationships while maintaining current customer needs. This role assists in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients/customers including budget and pricing development, contract negotiations and client presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Secure new business with prospects and existing clients in an assigned territory.
  • Execute against territory and client plans to capitalize on market/industry and client opportunity.
  • Keep client information and sales leads up to date in CRM.
  • Own the relationship with the client – drive the entire sales cycle, manage client questions/escalations, and pursue opportunities to expand scope and services.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Work with clients and internal teams to plan and coordinate details of events
  • Prospect (via phone, email, and in person), close, and manage all relationships with clients, prospective clients, and partners.
  • Understand the unique needs of corporate events.
  • Participates in and represents company at annual trade shows.
  • Participates in company-sponsored and company-hosted events.

Qualification:

  • 2 – 4 years of business development experience.
  • Prior experience of building and managing assigned region/territory.
  • Passionate about Sales, business development, Cold Calling, and meeting goals.
  • Needs to have a hunter salesperson persona and a growth-based mindset.
  • Demonstrates active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions oriented.
  • High level of professional integrity and expectation to be accountable.
  • Ability to network, communicate and build strong and genuine relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
  • Ensures world class customer service for all Clients.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be ambitious and driven by success and rewards.
