A leading systems integrator (SI) was looking forward to rebuilding its workforce in the Mainframe domain. The need for specialized Mainframe skills was urgent, as the lack of expertise could potentially lead to disruptions in services provided by the client to its customers.
An aging Mainframe workforce and difficulties in attracting younger professionals who favor modern technologies posed significant challenges in maintaining the client’s essential legacy systems. Immediate action was critical to mitigate risks and ensure operational stability.
GenSpark conducted thorough consultations with the client to understand their specific talent and skill needs. We tailored a custom solution encompassing the right mix of trainers, curriculum, and targeted skill sets. We utilized AI-powered assessments to tap into a network of over 2,000 partners and identified high-potential candidates interested in Mainframe technologies.
We created a bespoke curriculum to meet the client’s needs and trained 30 candidates. The training program was structured into two phases.
The first cohort of 20 candidates completed their training and was deployed within eight weeks, followed by a second cohort of 10 candidates deployed an additional eight weeks later. We maintained continuous feedback loops with the client, ensuring the training remained aligned with the evolving needs of the project and securing the program’s success.
