Job Duties: Design and plan an end-to-end optical transport network for Long Distance (LD) and Ultra-Long Haul (ULH) systems using technologies such as CWDM, DWDM, ROADM, and G.709 OTN Mesh, leveraging platforms like Ciena Active Flex 6500, 5400 series Packet Optical, and Infinera DTNx optical transport systems. Perform systems planning and design utilizing integrated OSS/BSS platforms such as Circuit Vision, TBS Metasolv, and Netcraker for mission-critical telecom service implementation and management. Conduct network capacity planning with the use of Ciena OneControl and MCP Blue Planet NMS tools in gathering critical data. Address the strategic transport network growth for wireless or mobile network services, specifically focusing on the Radio Access Network (RAN) backhaul needs for 3G Node-B, LTE e-Node-B, and 5G last-mile transport expansion and upgrade. Provide technical guidance and direction for last-mile access design solutions, including SONET, DWDM, OTN, Ethernet, IP packet switching (Layer 2 & 3), Fiber Optic, and off-network services from third-party carriers or service providers. Required Tools and Technologies: Ciena Active Flex 6500, Ciena 5400 series Packet Optical, Infinera DTNx, CWDM, DWDM, ROADM, G.709 OTN Mesh, SONET.

Other: Full Time. Travel involved to unanticipated client locations within US.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Equivalent + 5 years of Experience in job offered or related. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience accepted.
