A leading U.S. financial services organization recently embarked on transitioning from JavaScript to Angular. They required a large number of consultants across multiple locations, including Dallas, Richmond, Washington, and New York within a short timeframe.
Several client management members were inclined to opt for more distinguished consulting organizations, to manage the project as a Statement of Work (SOW). In conjunction with MSP Pontoon Solutions, we demonstrated them that staff augmentation could deliver a large number of consultants faster and at lower rates.
Finding talent with experience in Angular and familiarity with similar migration projects posed a significant challenge. Although Angular experience was preferred, it was not mandatory.
With Pyramid Talent, we made a concerted effort to meet the client’s talent needs. We were able to recruit over 90 candidates for review within a span of two months, which constituted one-third of the onboarded consultants.
Each candidate was vetted by our technical recruiting staff and tested on their Angular experience, through coding exercises and other skills assessments. The mandated minimum score for these tests was 80%. Subsequently, these candidates were interviewed by the client teams at each location and where they participated in additional coding exercises.
We brought qualified candidates with the right skill set for review, leading to significant time and cost savings. Our response has inspired confidence among the client‘s management team, resulting in invitations to participate in further large-scale buying efforts.
